Adapter is a project which is exploring new ways of using technology to improve communication, collaboration and visualisation irrespective of physical location to sustain and improve human and planetary wellbeing.
Adapter is an innovative tool which uses spatially-informed communication, collaboration and visualisation in an immersive environment to improve the efficiency of processes in an endless range of applications.
Currently being prototyped at Griffith University; Gold Coast and Nathan Campuses, are these Adapter initiatives:
- The joining of rooms from different places through use of specifically placed cameras, microphones and projector screens.
- The use of interactive screens which can be linked together for real-time, collaborative management of visual resources.
- The compiling of an extensive, multi-layer, global database to assist in timely, informed decision making (aligned with the International Society of Digital Earth).
